On the work Bench: SNEAKY SNEAKY PEEKY PEEKY

Today on the workbench Rene has been working on something new. Sometimes here at the shop we try things that are a little different and innovative to our true style. I`m not gonna spill the beans quite yet, so here`s a little sneak peek:

New TSM / GIRACHA blog....

Ok, like Bug was saying, we are now all on the same page, so to speak. Bug from Track Supermarket, Sayaka and Fukuchan from Gira Gira Chariya (Giracha), and myself, Rene, will now be all blogging together on this page. I hope that before too long, we can migrate a lot of our older blogs onto this page, to create a bit of an archive of the last few years worth or words and photos. Also, you will be seeing so me blogs from our part time staff, Tsutsumi, and Yuna!

 A Nagasawa in the dark. Bug has been messing around with the idea of taking frame photos in the dark! They look good to me! I'll take one, in a 55.5cm size, thanks. Speaking of 55.5cm frames, I just built up a nice Nagasawa for myself, so I will have to show some photos in the near future.

We have some nice gold medal EAI 1/8'' track cogs, which will be added to TSM soon, and are now available in the Minami Horie shop, Gira Gira. After becoming frustrated with 'out of round' cogs for some time now, I hope to slim down our line-up of cogs, to just the Dura Ace and Euro Asia models in the near future. 

I was more than surprised to see this the other day! A customer came in to Gira Gira, to have his cranks, handle, brake levers, cables, saddle and grips changed out. His chainring is a Sugino messenger, completely encrusted with various sizes of swarovski crystals, ha ha! Very unique. Only in Japan?! He was kind enough to add our shop name to his design, which he did himself.

This reminds me of a Kalavinka I posted a couple of years back, which had the Kalavinka logos all traced in similar styled-gems. I should re-post that, actually.

奈良競輪にもオリンピック五輪予選をみに・・いったり・・

新しい自転車が入荷したり・・・なんだで・・・・ほんとすいません。。。。。

と言う・・いい訳もかねて・・・

僕たちも・・自転車が大好きで・・競輪とかかわっているので・・とても身近で・・・
距離感がとてもかってに近くなっていました。。そして・・・行ったことのない人・・・
ぜひ・・見にいってください。。。本気やばいので・・・体も・・自転車も・・・・

On the work bench...Suntour National Racing team funny bike.

Oh don`t you wish you had this!!!!

I`m in the process of building this thing up. Maybe for sale...maybe for myself (too small though)...maybe for Sayaka...not quite sure yet. What I am sure is that this is gonna be a really lovely build. This thing is soooo cool. It`s a Suntour National race team funny track bike from the late 70`s. It has never been ridden or even built up, so I almost feel kinda lucky to have the chance to build this up. The best part is the full Campagnolo discs I have  to throw on it as well. I`ll definitely keep repost the progress of this built as I decide what other part to put on it.
