Golden snakes, mums, keirin pros and restorations...

A stem and bar change for this famous HETCHINS track frame, owned by a friend of ours....
Cinelli MILANO stem in about a 100mm length, with a 320mm METALLICO X TRACK SUPERMARKET gold chrome Tsuchinoko bar! Very nice, and much more interesting than the usual drop bar with bar tape, I think. I like to see our customers trying risky things with their bikes, and this is one that is easy to hate on, but I love it!

GIRACHA full time staff, Fuku Chan, and his parents! It is not hard to see where he got his develishly handsome good looks from!
Fukuchans mum often comes by the store with bags full of fresh fruit, coffee, and cakes for us! She is quickly becoming the spiritual 'mum' of the shop! ha ha.... thanks!

Sayaka with some customers.... the guy on the left is actually a professional KEIRIN racer, and currently rides a beautiful orange NAGASAWA frame for work each day! I think he was pretty surprised to find a bike shop full of NJS frames for sale! The guy on the right is a fire fighter in Osaka, and often rides his UMEZAWA NJS bike from Osaka to Kobe and back, for a little extra training on his days off....

A beautiful, old (1969) KING SPEED Keirin track frame, which was sold as soon as it arrived. The customer was born in 1969, and the size was right, so he said 'let's do it!' as soon as he heard about the frame...... The price we sold the frame for, included a full re-chroming, re-painting including masking, and a KING SPEED decal set.
I will definitely be posting more pics once it is restored, and ready to build up.

On the work Bench: Samson

This week Rene is working on an almost perfect Samson. I`m excited to see how this build is going to turn out. If I were a gambling man, I would say this is going to be a pretty rad build. Okay okay okay...I am a gambling man. This is going to be RAD! Enjoy!

関西サイクルスポーツセンター

ついに、GIRACHAで河内長野の関西サイクルスポーツセンターに行ってきました。

目的はバンクで走ること！！初めての経験の方もいれば、経験者も。。

でも、楽しく走るのが一番！！その模様を・・見てください！！！

車組と輪行組で・・現地集合で・・！！

Nobushi and Book, and a nice stainless bike stand!

 A steezy horie wanderer admiring the plants......or maybe the Nakagawa funny bike?

 A beautiful and simple bike stand made by one of our customers. Thanks very much! Now we just need 10 or so more.....It works very well, and is really sturdy, although it looks quite frail. Made for track bikes, so 110mm or 120mm ends....bmx is ok too, but the rear sits up a bit too high.

No track bikes to be seen.....

 Slowly, but surely, the Nagasawa road bike build is coming along nicely.... This will serve as a demo /display bike, to show our customers a non-track Nagasawa frame. White with gold flake, gold chrome decals, and Super Record 11 components, Mavic R-Sys wheels, and carbon parts throughout....not your average Nagasawa steel road frame build, but we wanted to do something a bit different, this time. These are available to order at tracksupermarket.com or gira gira chariya.

No track bikes today! This is a nice HOW I ROLL bmx, created by the W-Base crew in Tokyo. The new lot includes this blue-over chrome paint job, which has a lot of 80's flavor.
The customer who bought this one, is a comedian from Osaka...I have yet to see his routine, but judging by his taste in t-shirts and bikes, I assume he is pretty funny. :)
He already bought a track bike at the shop about a year ago, which is now completely customised, also in blue....
