2012...

A new year has quickly emerged on us, 2012...
Happy New Year from all of us here at Track Supermarket/ Gira Gira Chariya!

I`d like to start the 2012 blog year off with a little introduction of our crew. If you browse through our blog archives you might see the same group of people almost every time...well it`s because we are all part of the Giracha crew.


Rene & Sayaka

Rene and Sayaka are the two masterminds who created this whole mess. Sayaka has deep roots in the Japan cycling community and knows about everything (and almost everyone) from Keirin to Messengers to Trick riding that has come out of Japan. While Rene has a vast knowledge of bike history and track bike mechanics. They`re definitely the coolest couple to work and hang out with in Osaka. For sure!

 Fuku Chan (Foo-Koo Chan)

Next up, we have the hammer dropper that goes by the name Fuku Chan. Definitely an action packed dude. Ask him a question about a bike...I dare you! Not only will he give you the answer, but in a NON-library voice. ぶっくりした！！！

 Yu Chan

Every shop needs a Yu Chan in it. Super nice, very helpful, and she`s Sayaka`s little sister. We definitely would have to work harder if it wasn`t for her. Oh and she comes from Kyoto and the regular to put in some blood, sweat, and tears here at the shop. Don`t you just want to pinch her cheeks?

  Tsutsumi Kun

Tsutsumi is our silent killer...mechanic. When he`s not fighting crime as a burger messenger, he`s fixing bikes (or studying). He can change a flat tire with no hands...I`ve seen it. Oh and don`t be fooled by his  Flat One daily commuter, Tsutsumi has a collection of 12 bikes...and one angry mom. 

Bug

Oh and me? It`s ya boy...ya boiiiii!

My name is Bug from San Diego. I actually really don`t do much here...just coolness control. It`s kind of like quality control, but for cool things. When coolness control gets too stressful, I like to relax by working on our websites (Giracha and Track Supermarket) or by taking photos of bikes. 

So there you go, you can now put a name with a face. We have a rad, diverse crew here at the shop and we all come together and work well together. Like Voltron. If you ever make it to Osaka, come hang with us at the shop...and hopefully for some beers afterwards!
